Tim Smith’s SPRATLEYS return LIVE following their dazzling performance on last year’s SING TO TIM tour (Celebrating the Life & Work of Tim Smith from CARDIACS)
SPRATLEYS were born into this world in 1999 bY TIM SMITH and JO SPRATLEY with the album PONY & EP HAZEL - now underground cult classics in their own right.
In 2016 SPRATLEYS took to the stage for their inaugural sold-out show in Brighton at The Green Door Store with Tim himself in attendance. It was a truly seminal moment:
‘I have just seen the best band in the world’ Tim told Jo the next day…
Smith wanted the band to carry on, vowing to collaborate as best he could - and he is credited as Executive Producer on the the new recording flooding forth from Jesse Cutts, Etienne Rodes, Adrien Rodes, Damo Waters, Stephen Gilchist and Jo.
When Tim suddenly died in 2020, it was thought this project could never be finished. But on 13th September 2025 SPRATLEYS return to the the iconic CONCORDE2, at last fulfilling their promise to Tim and celebrating the release of their second album, BLOOM. Tim will be there in spirit, no doubt in our hearts.
PANIXPHERE came into this world in 1983 with Bic Hayes, Adrian Barker and Dominic Parker. They toured the UK pubs, clubs and underground squat scene playing with such luminaries as CARDIACS, HERE & NOW et al & taking many stages at STONEHENGE FREE FESTIVAL in 1983.
They reformed in 1993 with Bic, Tim Smith, Jon Poole and David Francolini (evidence of this blistering onslaught is available on YouTube if you dare). They made a brief appearance in 2019 in Brighton, and now they return in full ferocious force in 2025 with Bic, Jon Poole and Bob Leith to celebrate the 40 year wait of their debut ALBUM with ATE label mates SPRATLEYS at the CONCORDE2 Brighton.
Do not miss this historic event.
