PRIMA QUEEN
INDIE
Patterns, Brighton
Prima Queen are transatlantic indie trailblazers whose story is rooted in serendipity and the unshakable bond of female friendship. Formed by Chicago-native Kristin McFadden and London’s Louise Macphail, the duo met by chance at university and quickly discovered a shared vision for crafting deeply personal, guitar-driven songs that channel vulnerability and empowerment.
Blending shimmering pop sensibilities with the lyrical depth of Jenny Lewis and the anthemic edge of Haim, Prima Queen have built a reputation for their charismatic storytelling and unforgettable live performances. Having toured with the likes of Olivia Dean, Wet Leg, and Whitney, and graced stages at Glastonbury, SXSW, and Pitchfork Paris, the band’s electrifying presence has won over fans and critics alike, earning praise from outlets including The Guardian, The Independent, and NME.
Their highly anticipated debut album, The Prize (out April 25th, 2025, via Submarine Cat Records), explores themes of growth, empowerment, and connection. Featuring tracks like "Fool" and the newly released single "Ugly," the record captures the highs and lows of modern relationships while celebrating the radical power of friendship.
With past singles securing heavy BBC 6 Music rotation and their music resonating across millions of streams, Prima Queen are primed to solidify their place as one of indie music’s most captivating acts.
